National assembly resignations and replacements

Lekota, Skweyiya, Routledge not going to be sworn in as MPs

Parliament, 6 May 2009 - Below is a list of National Assembly candidates who have resigned and been replaced.

1.) Mr S Thusi (COPE-Gauteng) resigned before the election. Replaced by Mr PD Poho with effect from 28 April 2009.

2.) Mr MGP Lekota (COPE-National) was not available to take up his seat. Replaced by Ms CM Kotsi with effect from 28 April 2009.

3.) Mr AA E Seirlis (ID-National) resigned with effect from 27 April 2009. Replaced by Mr JJ McGluwa with effect from 28 April 2009.

4.) Mr HK Ditshitelo (UCDP-National ) resigned  with effect from 28 April 2009. Replaced by Ms MN Matladi with effect from 28 April 2009.

5.) Mr DV Bloem (ANC-National) ceased to be member of the ANC. Replaced by Mr VG Smith with effect from 29 April 2009.

6.) Mr BL Mashile (ANC-Mpumalanga) was not available to take up his seat. Replaced by Ms RE Nyalungu with effect from 29 April 2009.

7.) Dr ZST Skweyiya - not available (5/5/09) - not replaced.

8.) Ms NC Routledge - not available - (5/5/09)

9.) Mr TJ Mathebula - not available (5/5/09)
