Pretending that FF Plus will cooperate with ANC is dishonest and opportunistic

The FF Plus will under no circumstances cooperate with the ANC, and creating the impression that it may be the case is both malicious and opportunistic.

It is, therefore, regrettable that the DA has tried to mislead voters with regard to a situation in Emfuleni.

The fact of the matter is that the ANC in Emfuleni has offered political parties – including the FF Plus – certain positions in the Mayoral Committee of this Local Municipality. The FF Plus rejected the offer.

The DA has, however, manipulated the situation in an opportunistic and dishonest manner to create the impression that the FF Plus is willing to cooperate with the ANC simply due to the offer.

The FF Plus's stance on the matter of cooperating with the ANC is thoroughly documented and widely known: It will not cooperate nor form a coalition with the ANC, not now or ever.

The party will always act in voters' best interests, also in Emfuleni, which currently finds itself in an extremely precarious situation.

The Emfuleni Municipality is bankrupt, creditors have attached its bank accounts due to outstanding debt, and there is basically no sign of service delivery.

This is the direct result of the ANC's incompetence and inability to govern. The FF Plus will certainly not do anything to strengthen the ANC's position or to keep it in power.

Like elsewhere, the FF Plus will diligently keep fulfilling its role as opposition party, and will do everything in its power to help residents amid the lack of service delivery under ANC rule.
