The front page and lead story of SA's largest daily newspaper, May 23 2014

Daily Sun (May 23 2014) - THERE WERE big-time celebrations for the Buccaneers on the field after their brilliant Ke Yona win. But, as this picture proves, the celebrations didn't end there . . .

HAPPY BUCS PLAYERS ARE SEEN STRUTTING THEIR NAKED STUFF IN THE SHOWERS!

A picture showing the naked players posing proudly with their Nedbank Cup at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban was the talk of the town on social networks from Thursday morning.

The cellphone picture was originally loaded on Instagram and later deleted.

"It has caused a great deal of embarrassment for the club," said Orlando Pirates communications manager Mickey Modisane.

"We really want to apologise sincerely to the supporters.

"First we want to find out how the picture ended up on social networks and then we will decide how to deal with the matter," he said.

"Our boys worked hard to win this cup and we didn't want to close this season on a sour note."

The players in the picture are Helder Pelembe, Happy Jele, John Williams (physiotherapist), Lehlohonolo Majoro, Mpho Makola, Thabo Matlaba and Thandani Ntshumayelo.

) Late yesterday, Ntshumayelo took to Twitter to apologise for posting the picture: "I would like to apologise to everyone, the club, the sponsors and all the people for posting that picture on Instagram . . .

"At the time I thought it was a joke sorry to my teamates . . . I sincerely apologise . . . bibo."
