The ANC is in bed with Cape gangsters

The Sunday Times yesterday revealed that one of the Cape's most notorious gangsters, Mr Mark Lifman, received a VIP invite to attend President Zuma's recent birthday bash on the Cape Flats (see report). 

Mr Lifman is currently facing several investigations. He is alleged to have petrol bombed a senior prosecutor's house, he was reportedly caught with large amounts of tik and mandrax in his car and is reportedly under investigation by the South African Revenue Service. 

The man is considered a dangerous gangster. He does not belong at a rally with the President. 

It is alleged that Mr Lifman was invited to sit on the stage with President Zuma by the ANC Leader in the Western Cape, Marius Fransman. 

Mr Lifman's presence at the event is shocking. The ANC has been going around the Cape Flats telling people that the party wants to stop gangsterism, but the reality is that they have close ties with the Cape's most notorious gang bosses.

The story also includes allegations that the party has taken financial contributions from Mr Lifman. If this is true, it would mean that the ANC is essentially funding its Western Cape campaign with illegal drug money. 

The ANC is lying to the people of the Cape. They have gangsters and criminals at their rallies, yet they promise to stop gangsterism. They are willing to tell any lie to win back the Western Cape. 

We now also know why the ANC is so opposed to deploying the army to the Cape Flats. If the army were deployed to combat gangsters, they would cripple the gangs' ability to make profits out of the drug trade. And people like Mr Lifman would lose a lot of money.

I am frankly disgusted by this episode. I challenge Mr Fransman to debate me on the issue of gangs and gangsterism at any time and place of his choosing. He needs to publicly answer for his association with Mr Lifman.
