ANC KZN calls for young women to remain vigilant of Blessers

The African National Congress in KwaZulu-Natal expresses a deep sense of discomfort with the emergence of a sophisticated modern slavery of our young women compatriots at the hands of scrupulous characters calling themselves Blessers.

The manifestation of this phenomenon expresses itself more loudly and ruthlessly in manipulating poor women with appetite to live beyond their affordable means. This conduct reflects a commitment, not only to derail our course to a national democratic society, but also stands diametrically opposed to the construction of a society based on the best human values.

Fundamentally, the so-called Blessers, advance an agenda that is completely antithesis to noble ideas that propelled generations of freedom fighters who liberated for this country.

This is a new enemy of the people appearing in our usual colours but with an extreme greed for wealth and material gains ingrained in its DNA. We call on our people, and particularly women compatriots, never to fall victims to this alien generation of Lucifer posing and branded as lifesavers. These are alien men deeply absorbed by their self-inflated importance as a result of the wealth they command.

The calamities with which inequality exposes our people, and particularly young women, contributes to a loss of reason and devastating decline of progressive value system.

Whatever the challenges facing our people nothing can justify indulging in behavior that denigrates the very essence of being human. We categorically and fundamental reject the notion of Blessers and see them as an advanced detachment of Lucifer driven by extreme greed and insatiable appetite for exploitation of women and material gain.

It is in this context that we call on our people, and young women in particular, to remain vigilant and stay very far from this danger.
