ActionSA launches Voter Review of its 2021 campaign

South Africans requested for their inputs about party's offer, message, manifesto

ActionSA Launches Unprecedented Voter Review of its 2021 Campaign

6 February 2022

Today ActionSA launches yet another new precedent in South African politics by initiating a review of its 2021 local government election campaign to South Africans living in municipalities contested.

The public review of our campaign is intended to ensure that ActionSA does not become yet another party tone-deaf to the most important perspective – that of the South African people. ActionSA knows to avoid the declines experienced by other parties our campaigns must deliver hope to the South African people and not merely excite ourselves internally.

This takes place at a time in which ActionSA is finalising a comprehensive review of its election campaign throughout different structures of the party.

In this review, which can be accessed online at the following link https://www.actionsa.org.za/2021-election-review/, South Africans are requested for their inputs about ActionSA’s offer, message, manifesto and the ways in which they experienced ActionSA brand and representatives in this campaign. The public review phase opens today and closes on Thursday 10 February 2022.

It will be a critical component of our 360° review, aimed at ensuring that our 2024 campaign achieves what is needed for South Africa – the unseating of the ANC.

ActionSA’s Senate, our highest decision-making body, will be embarking on its strategic planning process this weekend for the 2024 national and provincial elections. While there is much to celebrate about 2021, we do not have the luxury to dwell on this because we face the enormous task of activating structures in all nine provinces.

We would like to assure all South Africans that ActionSA does not take their support or prospective support for granted. We will work between elections, and not just during campaigns, to build the alternative and the hope that South Africans have asked for.
