ANC alliance in scapegoating mode - FF+

Corné Mulder says, as elsewhere in Africa, minorities being blamed for govt's failures

ANC alliance blames minorities for their failures

 "Just like other places in Africa where first the Indian community in Uganda and then later the white people in Zimbabwe were blamed for the government's failures, the ANC alliance is now busy moving in the same direction in South Africa," Dr. Corné Mulder, the Chief Whip of the FF Plus said.

The latest accusations of Irvin Jim, the secretary general of NUMSA, that white people are standing in the way of the ANC to resolve the land issue, attests of precisely this.

The ANC alliance is wholly responsible themselves for the fact that many black people still live in abject poverty today and that after 18 years of ANC rule. There are a number of reasons for this such as, amongst others, the following:

  • Rigid labour legislation which does not create jobs but on the contrary cause job losses;
  • Total uncertainty about land security which makes rural development in particular, impossible;
  • A disabled racially transformed public service which is not capable of effectively implementing government plans;
  • An ANC policy of cadre deployment which makes the majority of municipalities totally dysfunctional; and
  • An ANC policy of affirmative action which keep some of the best experts in the economy, out of it.

"White people and other minorities should take note of this strategy to identify them as the cause of the ANC's incompetence and failures. All minorities in South Africa, is as part of South Africa as the majority is. Minorities must continue to play their role constructively and prepare themselves to oppose the ANC alliance. As the ANC fails more and more, the blame heaped on minorities will increase," Dr. Mulder said.
