Two COPE councillors arrested for fraud and corruption

The ANC welcomes the arrest of two COPE councillors, Bonisile Mafilika and Bongani Mini, on charges of fraud and corruption. Two ANC councillors, Ryder Mkutswana and George Njamela pressed charges against the two after they were caught fraudulently buying items of clothing on the latter's names.

We hope the legal process will be swiftly carried out and that the law will take its course.

We are waiting to hear what the action of the DA Speaker will be.
