ANC WELCOMES ARRESTS OF SUSPECTS RELATED TO COMRADE JACKSON MTHEMBU'S SHOOTING

The African National Congress welcomes the swift action by the South African Police Services in arresting the suspects related to the armed robbery and shooting of ANC NEC member and former National Spokesperson, Comrade Jackson Mthembu.

We believe that, like in many other occasions, these arrests will assist in discouraging crime in our country which continues to preoccupy the agenda of our law enforcement agencies . As Cde Jackson Mthembu remains recuperating and stable in hospital, we believe that those responsible for endangering his life should be prosecuted successfully.
