Booing of Zuma a product of disgusting Western culture - SACP KZN

PEC also notes the sustained attack on govt by renegade elements concentrated in NUMSA

Extended SACP PEC of Moses Mabhida Province [ KwaZulu Natal].

17 December 2013

We, the PEC of Moses Mabhida had a successful extended PEC held at Albert Falls Dam, in Crammond near Pietermaritzburg. The PEC was held on the 16th-17th of December 2013, attended by PEC members, Central Committee members, District office bearers and the members of the PDF. This was the last PEC meeting of the year that took stock of the political and organisational work that the Party has been pursuing and it therefore adopted the program for the 2014 in line with the national program as adopted by the Augmented Central Committee recently.

In the true character and practice of the Party, the extended PEC was punctuated by vibrant, robust, frank and honest debates on political and organisational matters.

Political Assessment

The PEC joined all South Africans and people of the World in mourning the passing of our former ANC President and former State President, Nelson Mandela. Indeed his passing represents the symbolic departure of the old generation that turned ANC into a radical movement from its docility; this is a period that marked stronger ties between ANC and Communists in pursuit of the national struggle. We salute Madiba and commit to consolidate, defend and advance this revolution in the interest of the working class and poor.

History has shown us that how the revolutionaries were liberalized and marketized by the liberals. For example, not afford to face the dialectics of the world's great revolutionary fighter Che Guevara, the American big bourgeoisie has marketized him by selling the products that have his names and pictures. Same style of liberal market technique has been followed by South African big bourgeoisie and comprador bourgeoisie to pose Madiba without his revolutionary ideologues. These bourgeoisie and their local representatives embrace Madiba as their fatherly figure, but not his ideals against bourgeoisie.

The extended SACP PEC calls on all the working classes of the world in general and South Africa in particular to rise against these reactionary approaches of bourgeoisie of marketizing our Madiba and to defend and uphold the revolutionary ideology of our vanguard comrade Nelson Mandela. YES, the working class and its vanguard party SACP can smell the filthy reactionary unity among the right wings in the name of "collective for democracy" and pseudo militancy with their Verbal Diarrhea but not having any solid revolutionary programmes.

The extended SACP PEC is resolved and stern on taking on this Low intensity conflict has been waged by the reactionary unity among the filthy pseudo revolutionaries, right wing counter revolutionaries and few medias who are mere the stooges of world imperialism. These infantile disorders who talk against the working classes must know that the South African working class is the really ticking time bomb on which they sit and speak about the counter revolution.

These buddhas who attained the revolutionaryhood overnight and who have been teaching about the class analysis to the SACP which is strengthened by the legendary Marxist-Leninist principles must know that the people AND people alone-are the great teachers and the masses of South Africa will teach these new born buddhas about who failed workers and who is now aligning with enemies of the masses.  Before releasing the statement that attacked our general secretary, they must have done the class analysis of why there was no booing incident against the captain of the world imperialism Barrack Obama.

We humbly request these new marketing executives of class analysis to give up their wealthy back bags and go back to the masses to learn their elementary lessons about the class analysis. It would be much useful for not only to the south African working classes but also to the world toiling masses if these new born adventurists can explain why their mouths were reluctant to speak about the monopoly capitalism and also the other big bourgeoisie who have been exploiting the masses of South Africa.  Can their class analysis explain why their leadership is suffering from this selective amnesia?

The PEC reflected at length on the visibly sustained attack of our government, the alliance and the Party in particular by amongst others, some renegade elements, most of them found among the NUMSA. These renegades have become an organised faction within COSATU. It poses itself as a paragon of a revolutionary repository and a demi god in the struggle for Socialism. They have resolved to target the SACP at every turn thereby trying to annex its revolutionary space as the Party for the working class.

They must know that the Party will defend itself and has never relented in defending itself by all means. The most worrying tendency that has festered within this organised faction is the tribal and regional mobilisation of its members in pursuing this anti-COSATU and anti-alliance agenda. We are happy that majority of COSATU members, including NUMSA members are beginning to see the bigger agenda they are being mobilized. Many of COSATU members belong to ANC and the SACP, and therefore will not approve the line that these renegades their union is taking.

Flowing from above, we condemned in strongest terms the booing of the President of our country by some people wearing ANC outfits. This is a foreign culture to the ANC. We recognise that this shocking new culture has been nurtured for some time now to fester with previous booing of leaders. We are saying this is time to confront this malady head-on. That act of booing the President, including all similar acts before, are a clear show of the embedded disgusting Western culture fostered to us during years of colonialism and white oppression and is not in sync with our African values. The kind of democracy we have, equally, gives accommodation to these values, it lacks African value content.

We want to lead a debate on the need for democracy with African values; a democracy with African characteristics. At the centre is the question of respect, magnanimity and dignity. It means respecting the powers and offices of those elected or appointed to hold power. It means solemn loyalty to the country and safe-guard its image amongst nations and its leadership. It means having the most dignified ways of voicing discontent without vassalage of country's image and its leaders.

Organisational programmes

We have resolved on various issues that will constitute key political activities:

In line with our 13th Congress mandate, we are going to consolidate our contribution to the organisational renewal [which will include its redesign in line with its strategic objectives].

We will continue to implement political education in our branches consistently as our Party grows through leaps and bounds.

The PEC has adopted a program for family day political schoolfor all our leaders and cadres of the Party to bring their children, grand- children, nephews and so on to be educated politically about the Party, alliance and the history of our revolution. This program will commence in 2014 and will be held every year at massive scale.

Intensification of the transformation agenda of the state, issues of governance in the province and fighting corruption.

Transformation of the Justice and security cluster which is part of the national program.

Program on skills development campaign and the promotion of the FET Colleges as alternative post schooling higher education option.

Consistent with our red October campaign we will take up the financial sector campaign which has various elements such as fighting the loan sharks [ mashonisa's] etc.

We will pursue the national program of January in remembrance of Joe Slovo through in various forms; Chris Hani activities in April which will coincide with Siyanqoba activities towards elections, MzalaNxumalo memory and activities in the province and Moses Mabhida memorial activities. All of these activities also serve as important schools to the cadres and help to pose and answer important questions for our party as we navigate our revolutionary trajectory as the party of class.

Towards ANC victory.

The SACP once again shows its confidence in the leadership of Jacob Zuma and will work tirelessly to achieve 70% victory in KZN. We are very much part of the ANC phases of the campaign. We will intensify our campaign in rural areas, workers and the youth.

We are confident that with the delivery of services and infrastructure by the ANC government in the province, our people can compare before ANC was not running the province and the past 10 years in power and a lot has happened in changing peoples' lives. People are a living testimony to the ANC and no amount of tarnishing it by some sections of the elite and liberal whites will damage the level of election victory.

The extended PEC of SACP would like to extend its warmest greetings to South African on their festive seasons and they must ensure safety on our roads and also in our communities. We once again expect their whole hearted support in our fight against the world imperialism in general and South African capitalism in particular.

With revolutionary greetings!
Thank you.
