COPEYM: A reply to Bantu Sosibo

Sefu Sekgala questions whether the opposition is being destabilised by ANC moles

Response to Bantu Sosibo's statement: Sipho Nghona should be our leader - Disgruntled COPE Youth

It is unfortunate that, leadership in COPE is not a popularity contest and its unfortunate that Mr Sosibo is reducing it  to a popularity contest (see here).

The current National youth structure(CWC) is not a permanent structure, but an interim structure whose main role is to establish provincial, regional and branch structures.

It is unfortunate to note that in Cope we have members of members.

I call upon all COPEYM members to support the current COPEYM national leadership and afford it an opportunity to lead the youth of COPE to a COPEYM national conference.

It must be noted that COPEYM is a new organization which needs to establish structures (branches) in order to have an elective conference. I call upon the NSC to fast track political education so that cdes like Bantu Sosibo can be taught about political dynamics of a new organization.

I call on the disgruntled COPE youth to put on their overalls and go across the country and help in establishing structures so that they can be afforded an opportunity to have conferences at all level. All disgruntled members must note that success is not easy. It not commendable that, for someone to become a leader they have to merely remove someone else outside of a conference and without any reason.

The behavior of Mr Sosibo and company reduces our political party to pettiness. It is hard not to think that COPE might be infiltrated by moles whose role is to destabilize congress of the people.

Allow me to defend my leaders and my organization and say to them ignore this ANC mole and leave him to us.

If he wants to pretend as if him and his fellow moles from ANC want to stage a pretentious resignation let them do it.

COPE youth movement is now in a position to move at high speed due to the fact that it's beefed up.

COPEYM needs more hands and I call on the NSC to put the mother body CWC to fast track the  Disciplinary process of Cde Anele Mda so that we can have a fully fledged structure.

Sefu Sekgala is Cope youth movement Tshwane regional treasurer and regional Chairperson of Cope business and professionals, he writes here in his personal capacity.
