DA welcomes court ruling on appointment of Zulu King

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) acknowledges and welcomes yesterday’s court ruling regarding the appointment of Zulu King Misuzulu KwaZwelithini.

We welcome the fact that this legal process has been completed, with the finding that he is the rightful heir to the throne and congratulate the king and wish him well as he becomes the de facto ruler of the Zulu nation.

The DA calls on all parties in our province to respect the outcome of the court ruling and to support the Monarch in carrying out his role and responsibility.

We look forward to engaging with his Majesty as our province and our people move forward.
