Curro: Race activists should stop abusing innocent children - AfriForum Youth

Henk Maree says it is absurd to equate an Afrikaans class being transported as a class group to racial segregation

Curro incident: Racially-obsessed politicians should not abuse children to create an illusion of racism

AfriForum Youth has accused the Gauteng MEC for education, Panyaza Lesufi, and other politicians and political parties that pass a school outing of the Curro school Roodeplaat off as racism, of abusing innocent children for the furthering of their own racially-obsessed agendas.

Henk Maree, National Chairman of AfriForum Youth, stated that Lesufi is infamous for fueling fabricated accusations of racism in an effort to undermine Afrikaans as medium of instruction.  “To portray an Afrikaans class being transported as class group falsely as racial segregation, is beyond absurd,” Maree said.  According to Maree, Lesufi deliberately excludes the fact that in the so-called “black bus” there were also white English-speaking pupils.

He added that the uproar over the Curro incident is indicative of double standards on racism in the country.  “The racially-obsessed politicians keep quiet about the state’s obsession with race and racism practiced against whites, while an innocent school trip of a class group is falsely being elevated to a national race incident,” Maree said.
