DA Gauteng thanks ANC for poaching Toni Molefe and Sipho Masigo

John Moodey says one facing a disciplinary inquiry, the other in an unelectable position

ANC's acquisition strategy increasingly desperate

The Democratic Alliance would like to thank the ANC for taking problem councillors Toni Molefe and Sipho Masigo off the DA's hands.

Molefe was disqualified from running for DA Youth Chair in Gauteng because he is too old. He is currently undergoing a disciplinary inquiry for dishonest attempts to favour certain candidates while sitting on the electoral college for DA lists.

Masigo was unelectable on the DA's list for Parliament and is under financial strain. He was recently called in for a poor performance discussion.

The ANC's campaign to show it is not losing ground in Gauteng proves only how desperate it is becoming.

The polls are showing that the ANC can be pushed below 50% in Gauteng. The ANC's tactic of acquiring politicians who couldn't make the grade elsewhere will hasten the party's decline, not reverse it.
