EFF welcome resignation of Kenny Kunene

Former fighter off to lend a hand in resolving Cape Town's gang wars

EFF Statement on the Resignation of Fighter Kenny Kunene

26, August, 2013

The Economic Freedom Fighters welcome the resignation of fighter Kenny Kunene as a member of the organization. The Central Command Team found him a very great person to work with, and so did many in the rank and file.

We were particularly impressed by his charisma, fearlessness, and wisdom to dissect complex challenges. We were further excited by the reception he received on the ground by ordinary communities across the country who often welcomed him as their own.We wish him well with his future endeavours particularly with the immediate challenge he has accepted in lending a hand in the resolution of the Cape Town gang wars (see report). We have no doubt, taken his leadership qualities, that it will greatly benefit the efforts to find lasting peace.

Economic Freedom Fighters will always be welcome to working with him on project both in the realization of the common goals of economic freedom in our lifetime and as a fellow South African.

We are, above all pleased that he remains committed in making this country work, particularly in the spirit of radical economic justice espoused in the policies of the EFF which he helped consolidate.
