Irvin Jim belongs among right wing loons - Mmusi Maimane

DA national spokesperson says his party won't be deterred by racial attacks from the lunatic fringe

NUMSA joins the far-right on the lunatic fringe

The Democratic Alliance (DA) notes the statement by National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) General Secretary, Irvin Jim, earlier today entitled "NUMSA rejects DA's white supremacist racist hogwash".

Not content with describing my colleague James Lorimer MP as a "pathetically sick moron", Irvin Jim accused him of "simply breathtaking Olympic Gold Medal winning levels of white supremacist and diehard racist arrogance."

NUMSA and Irvin Jim have clearly learnt a lot from the racist attitudes exhibited by far-right organisations in Mpumalanga this week.

This week DA Leader in Mpumalanga Anthony Benadie was labelled a "traitor" and a "useless white" for his non-racial approach to crime in rural areas.

The DA will not be deterred by racial attacks from the left or the right-wing lunatic fringe. We will continue building the non-racial, diverse centre so that all South Africans may be united in their diversity.
