Molefe’s appointment a step in the right direction – Solidarity

Trade union Solidarity today said the permanent appointment of Brian Molefe as Eskom’s CEO is a step in the right direction in providing stability to the national energy supplier.

“We welcome Mr Molefe’s appointment as CEO and trust that the leadership he has already shown would continue,” Deon Reyneke, Head of the Energy Industry in Solidarity, said.

“Since his appointment as acting CEO in April, Mr Molefe has already put several systems in place in a bid to stabilise the energy supplier, and we wish him all the best for the task ahead,” Reyneke continued.

Molefe has been acting in the position of CEO since April and was permanently appointed to the position by the end of last week.
