Paperless classrooms key to the future we envision - ANC

Party says it is in no doubt that Gauteng DoE's project will improve performance in our schools

PAPERLESS CLASSROOMS A KEY FEATURE OF THE FUTURE WE ENVISION

21 July 2015

The African National Congress congratulates the Gauteng Provincial Government on its successful launch of the paperless classroom programme today, 21 July 2015. We believe that this project will improve the quality of teaching and learning in our schools, as pledged in the ANC 2014 General Elections Manifesto, by distributing learning content digitally.

Through the paperless Classrooms, the ANC government is defining and moving closer to the realisation of the future we envision - transformed, modernised, connected and accessible with the education of the African child at its centre. We have no doubt that this project will improve performance in our schools while maintaining the upward trend in the pass rate and improve the quality of those passes. The ANC reiterates the call upon the learners, educators and communities to jealously guard these assets which will positively shape the future of this country.
