Pay your workers, Aurora – COSATU North West

Union urges court to reject directors' appeal

COSATU North West calls on Aurora bosses to pay workers their hard-earned wages

16 September 2015

The Congress of South African Trade Unions in the North West and its affiliated Union in the mining industry, NUM calls for Aurora Directors to pay their formers workers what is due to them.

Tomorrow, the 17th September 2015, the exploiters of mining workers, Aurora will be appealing against the High Court to pay workers their hard earned wages.

The Northern Gauteng High Court on the 25th June 2015 made a ruling against Aurora Directors to pay workers but such was not honoured.

We call on the High Court to reject the appeal and call for enforcement of the judgment made against Aurora bosses.

The case has been dragging since 2009 to date, with no justice done on the part of poor workers.

All shall be equal before the law!

COSATU North West calls on solidarity with poor Aurora workers to fight for justice.

COSATU North West invites members of the public to join as we are going to pledge our support at the High Court in Pretoria.

Media is invited to hear as we pray that the appeal be rejected.
