"Rats: All they need is love!" - Daily Sun

"Thelma says she has the solution to the plague - and it won't cost millions!" - front page lead, October 8 2014

Daily Sun (October 8 2014) - OFFICIALS want to spend millions to fight rats, but Thelma has a much simpler plan.

"Hold a glass of water over them and pray and they will go away," she said.

YOU DON'T NEED CHEMICALS TO GET RID OF THE RATS . . . LOVE WILL CHASE THEM AWAY!

Thelma Motau (45) from Mmametlake, outside Hammanskraal, Tshwane is amazed the City of Joburg is happy to spend so much money to get rid of the rats in the CBD and squatter camps.

"I can make all the rats in Joburg go away," she said.

"We can't let the rats control us. We must control them. I can make all the rats in Joburg disappear within three weeks!"

According to Thelma, a glass of water and prayer is all it will take to get rid of the rats in Alexandra, north of Joburg - not the R2,5 million the City is planning to spend.

She said that earlier this year she prayed for the ants troubling Violet Tsebe (62) to go away. When she got to Violet's house there were so many ants you could fill up buckets with them.

"I held a glass of water over the ants while I prayed over them. I asked God to make the ants go away. Three weeks later, they were all gone," she said.

Thelma, the mother of three children, said she quit her job as a teacher after she was called by God seven years ago.

"After that, I started seeing the need to help people through prayer."

She said she never used muthi.

"I use water and candles and whatever I pray for always happens."
