ANC win 9 out of 15, DA 3, IFP 2 and Independent one

JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress lost three wards in the fifteen municipal by-elections held across South Africa on Wednesday. It lost two seats to the Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape and one seat to an independent in a ward in Greater Groblersdal, Mpumalanga. However, it managed to win a seat off the Inkatha Freedom Party in Ndwedwe Kwa-Zulu Natal. It held onto eight wards it had won previously. The IFP held two and lost one. And the DA held one and gained two.
