The Gauteng MEC for Education, Mr Panyaza Lesufi, has taken a decision to re-open Roodepoort Primary School with effect from today.

The gates of the school were opened this morning and teachers and learners where allowed in. The MEC has also taken a decision that the Principal and the two Deputy Principals be returned to the school today.

The department has deployed officials to the school to monitor the situation, ensure that there is stability and that teaching and learning continues without any disruptions.
