RE: CORRESPONDENCE ON UCT ADMISSION POLICY

Date: 23rd July 2014

We refer to your letter dated 21st July 2014.

Kindly peruse our previous letters to you. We mention over and over again that the new UCT policy seeks to diminish the use of race and elevate other variables. Nowhere do we state you at this juncture eliminate the consideration of race entirely. We again await your response concerning the multiple specific points we sought clarification from you on.

We further treat with contempt your condescending statement about us not believing Blacks are not able to compete on their own. You obviously continue to show contempt for the legacy of discrimination and marginalisation. Might we add, a legacy that you played a contributing role and continue to play to this day.

Once again, we await your written official response on the specific points raised.

Kindly note that failure to respond to our communique will leave us with no further option but to initiate legal proceedings against the UCT through the relevant legal avenues.

Yours faithfully

Lucky Thekisho (Mr)

Board Chairperson
