The EFF accepts the apology of the Speaker

The Economic Freedom Fighters welcomes the apology of the Speaker of the National Assembly, honorable Baleka Mbete for comments she made about the Commander in Chief being a cockroach. The speaker said that "she withdraws [her] comments unreservedly". She went further to say "I apologies unconditionally, to South Africans, to parliament and to honorable Julius Malema for any hurt or harm I may have caused."

The EFF welcomes this apology as a step forward and hopes indeed that the unfortunate events of the 12 February 2015 will be reviewed with the same sincerity expressed in the Speaker's apology.
