Chairman Joseph Maqhekeni says former SAFA CEO was not found guilty of corruption by FIFA

PROUDLY SA BOARD CHAIRMAN STATEMENT - FIFA FINDINGS ON LESLIE SEDIBE

14 MARCH 2016

The Chairman of the Proudly SA Board, Mr. Joseph Maqhekeni, says he has taken note of a statement by the organisation's CEO, Adv. Leslie Sedibe, that he (Sedibe) will challenge FIFA's ruling through legal channels.

Adv. Sedibe's legal representative clarified at a media briefing in Johannesburg earlier today that he has NOT been found guilty of match fixing.

Stephen Thomson told journalists that none of FIFA's findings against his client relate to corruption. He said the findings relate to co-operation with FIFA, disclosure and loyalty to the international football body.

Mr. Maqhekeni said he has full confidence in the CEO. He added that Proudly SA continues with its daily business and duties.
