We won't lose our identity in multi-party govt – ACDP

Party says they chose to cooperate with other parties to bring about the change the ANC failed to

ACDP statement on Multi-Party Governments formed in Tshwane, Johannesburg and NMBM (PE)

17 August 2016

ACDP is co-operating with other parties to bring change to all residents in these cities

ACDP remains the ACDP and does not lose its unique identity in these multi-party governments

This is a new era in South African politics. It is the time of multi-party government. It is the time of maximum accountability and transparency, it is the time of service delivery.

Life has to change for all our people, especially in under serviced townships.

- People must have job opportunities.

- People must be able to have food on the table, a decent roof over their heads, and potable and flushing water in their homes.

- Roads must be tarred, parks must be designated.

- There must be regular refuse removal, no litter and an end to squalor.

- Public transport must be affordable, safe and reliable.

- In all suburbs potholes must be fixed, road markings must be renewed and robots working.

All this must be done better, cheaper, quicker, faster.

- The looting of public money must stop.

- Corruption must stop.

- Jobs for pals must stop.

- Inflated tenders must stop.

The ANC has not done these things, therefore the ANC must stop in Tshwane, in Nelson Mandela Bay and in Johannesburg.

The ACDP has joined in multi-party governments with four other parties in these three Metro Cities to make a difference in all our daily lives, particularly the poor and the vulnerable.

All of us will remain the individual parties that we are with our own unique identities, but we choose to co-operate to make sure that these things happen.
