ANC YOUTH LEAGUE PRESIDENT JULIUS MALEMA'S ADDRESS TO WITS UNIVERSITY IS CANCELLED:

Members of the media are advised that the scheduled address by ANC YL President Julius Malema to the Economic Freedom Lecture at Wits University is cancelled. The cancellation is due to the decision of the University Vice Chancellor Loyiso Nongxa to disapprove the ANC YL, SASCO and SRC at Wits University from using the venue that was approved by the University operational staff members.

The reason he gave was that the University would not be in a position to manage the number of people who were going to attend the scheduled lecture in the University, despite the fact that the ANC YL had publicly communicated that the Economic Freedom Lecture will be opened to Wits University students and workers only.

The ANC YL sends its most sincere apologies to members of the media who had already made arrangements to cover the address by the President.
