Nokwanele Gontsana not seen since September 2002

PREMIER'S OFFICE OFFERS MISSING PERSON REWARD

The Premier's Office is offering a reward of R50 000 to anyone who can provide information that will enable the police to locate Ms Nokwanele Gontsana, who has been missing since 2002. The police have investigated the case since it was reported 7 years ago, but have not been able to establish what has happened to Ms Gontsana. Her family has approached my office for assistance, and I have agreed to do what I can to help them bring closure to this tragic case.

Ms Gontsana was 17 at the time of her disappearance. She went missing on 27 September 2002 on her way home from Alexander Sinton High School in Crawford. Anyone with information on the current whereabouts of Ms Gontsana can contact the office of Inspector Driver in Standfontein police station on 083 582 0692 or 021 370 1515 or the office of the Premier of the Western Cape. Inspector Driver can also be contacted for a photograph or further details about Ms Gontsana. The specific conditions attached to the reward are that:

1) the information given makes it possible for the police to locate Ms Gontsana, or that it leads to the conviction of any individual/s involved in foul play relating to her disappearance

2) that Ms Gontsana's disappearance is not found to have been a deliberate action on her part

3) that the person claiming the reward is not found to have been involved in her initial disappearance
