FALCON SECURITY TERMINATES THE EMPLOYMENT OF ONE OF ITS EMPLOYEES

Following the deeply unfortunate playing of an offensive song at the Falcon Security stand at a family day function held at Sun City at the weekend and the subsequent arrest of Falcon Security's CEO Ben Burger, the company immediately instigated a  thorough investigation.

It has come to light that one of the company's employees, Francois Robberts, placed a personal CD next to the sound system where it was inadvertently played for about 15 seconds by Falcon Security.

This resulted in the company's CEO Ben Burger - who wasn't at the stand at the time of the incident - being arrested and charged with crimen injuria. Falcon Security has terminated Robberts' employment with immediate effect.

Says Burger: "Falcon Security will not tolerate racism in any form or manner. We have apologised to both Mr Nelson Mandela and the people of South Africa for any hurt and anger caused by this incident. Mr Robberts has stated in an affidavit that he was the owner of the CD and left it at the CD player to be played. He no longer is employed by the company." Commenting on his arrest, Burger said he thought he was arrested in the heat of the moment and he believes the charges against him will be dropped.

"I am aware of smear campaign alleging that I was involved. This I have always categorically denied and continue to do so. This has tarnished my reputation and that of my company and I am looking at taking legal action."

If this Francois Robberts was a black man, his employer would probably have found some or other reason to make a lame apology for his conduct and he would not be fired. Usually what we hear from black racists is that their words were

@Leburu
I heard he was coloured.

But I also heard Falcon didn't care what colour he was, they strangely enough were simply concerned about the merits of the case, and not the colour of the man. Strange.

That's what I heard anyway...

Its important that before anyone is accused of anything an exact account of what happend is established. The fact that a tape insulting Mandela was played is not necessarily an issue for me but rather the attitude of some white people against black people . .more
