Clearly the evil DA has not changed a bit - ANC WCape

Songezo Mjongile says that whatever the party says about BBBEE it is not for transfmoration and progressive changes

The DA cannot turnaround from its past

The DA cannot change its traits even when it changes its cosmetic appearances. This is again proven true in the case of this desperate alliance trying to eye blind voters ahead of the 2014 elections.

In Gauteng the DA launched another series of its failed ‘Know Your DA' campaign by claiming it fully supports the affirmative action and the principles of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE). Within hours the DA in the Cape through its national chair Wilmot James hits back to rebuke its Gauteng counterparts and at the same time the DA today attacks BBBEE legislation before parliament.

ANC Western Cape secretary Songezo Mjongile says: "Clearly the evil DA has not changed a bit. Can a leopard change its spots? It is not for transformation and progressive changes. The DA could not even make its employment equity targets where it governs. The DA failed miserably on non-racialism even though it claims differently. It is a party of deception.

"In the Western Cape the DA failed to implement economic transformation. With major projects like road construction, housing and infrastructure, the work was mostly given to big contractors and listed companies."

Even with the building of the soccer world cup stadium in Green Point and the new bus route to Blaauwberg, the DA in Cape Town awarded the tenders to uncompetitive big companies who colluded to fleece the taxpayer.

"This proves the DA only supports old money and big businesses. There is no developmental approach. Even in its tender advertising it states applicants must be JSE listed. The DA continues with economic apartheid in the Western Cape. This is the DA we know. It cannot change," Mjongile adds.
