Corné Mulder asks how3,500 unskilled foreigners could have received work permits

GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBLE FOR XENOPHOBIA

"The attacks by local residents on foreigners in the De Doorns area are due to the government's actions. In the past 15 years the ANC government has patrolled the borders very poorly, made access to the country easier by issuing special visas and saw to it that the number of asylum seekers in South Africa were not monitored properly," Dr. Corné Mulder, the chief spokesperson on Home Affairs for the Freedom Front Plus says.

"It is unintelligible how nearly 3 500 foreigners can live in a small town such as De Doorns. There is hardly enough work for local seasonal workers on farms in this area which raises the question why foreigners get the work of local workers. Seasonal farm work in the area does not require highly trained skilled labour. If workers from Zimbabwe and Lesotho do indeed have work permits, as they claim to have, the Minister of Home Affairs and her department should investigate the allocation of work permits to foreigners who do the work of unskilled labourers in South Africa . This country has an abundance of unemployed, unskilled labourers and we can not afford to give jobs to foreigners that South Africans could do themselves," Dr. Mulder added.

"The ANC government has since coming to power managed to run the country into great trouble. Service delivery does not take place, government departments are filled with corrupt officials, the country's infrastructure, such as Eskom and government hospitals are insufficient to provide in the needs of citizens all because the government has thrown the borders open to foreigners. Unfortunately these foreigners do not add to the tax base and take away jobs of South Africans who can do the jobs. It is time the government prevents fortune seekers and other illegal foreigners from coming to take the work and services meant for South Africans away from them," Dr. Mulder said.

LOL
Before 1994 there probably was not a black person working in the De Doorns area, it was all coloureds that worked the farms, now you have a huge black population that moved in since 1994, we all know why, to get the area under ANC control. These blacks . .more

No justification
Government's poor management of immigration can in no way justify violent attacks on communities and still less driving out a certain group from an area because they are not part of the correct tribe. The fact that they are perceived as foreign doesn't . .more
