Mampuru is not a professional journalist - ANCYL

THE TIMES CAMERAMAN CONSISTENTLY MISREPRESENTS STORIES ABOUT THE ANC YOUTH LEAGUE:

The ANC Youth League condemns The Times newspaper cameraman called Livhuwani Mampuru who evidently has a vendetta against the ANC Youth League leadership. Firstly, this cameraman smuggled a camera and tape recorder to ANC Youth League President private party in Polokwane with the hope that he will find anything negative about the leadership of the ANC YL. Despite the warm welcome that he was given, Mampuru tried to everything to portray negative perceptions about the ANC YL President.

In the recent past, Mampuru has learned writing stories for The Times newspaper and to show that he is not a professional Journalist, he consistently forgets to contact the ANC Youth League for official positions. Mampuru seems to be on the payroll of a faction in Limpopo because he repeats everything they say in his article without sourcing the official position of the ANC Youth League.

The ANC Youth League appeals to The Times editors to only allow experienced Journalists to write stories, because we really do not have time to write to the Press Ombudsman to complain about amateur journalists. We publicly make this appeal because in the first blunders made by Mampuru, we took the effort to alert him of his mistakes with the hope that he will learn.

Be careful.... ....the very busy ANCyl has no time for the Media Ombudsman. Sounds about right ! So Mampuru & the Times better read this as a first warning then ! In future, you are to run any ANCYL stories past comrade Floyd Shivambu, BEFORE rushing . .more to print (and stop using cubs like Livhuwani Mampuru in important stuff like ANCYL stories). VIVA COMRADES VIVA! Surely Mampuru was looking at establishing his journalism profile by employing those tactics. He is however not in the same league as city Press Piet Rampedi and Dumisani Lubisi and others who you once lpainted with the same brush as Mampuru. Worse of . .more them all, you once accused Rampedi of being anti revolutionary. By the way, how far are the investigations/background check of Lubisi and his family? Any updates. ANCYL B.S. How will it ever be possible for any jounalist, amature or otherwise to take anything the league has to say seriously when it so-called leaders spend all their time politicing rather than trying to help sort out the serious problems faced by the youth in . .more this country on a continual bases. They appear more interested in furthering the Zimbabwe Hitler's aims, throwing desenting opinions out rather than engauging them and isulting the inteligence, not only journaliststs, but the general public as well.
