Are you ANCYL but gatvol with Malema?
Democratic Alliance Youth welcomes all young people to a truly alternative youth organization.
It is always a tragedy to witness an organization erode it's moral standing and positive relevance in society because of a few individuals behaving in a manner that seeks to advance their personal interests as opposed to the interests of the greater stake holders at large.
The ANCYL epitomizes that very organization. An organization once served by a leader of the calibre of Mandela, it has been sad to see it loose its entire moral fibre to the selfish, backstabbing & carefree leaders which fight for positions today in an attempt to continue to serve their ego's and bank accounts alone.
I say this as a fully fledged member of the DA Youth, and office bearer at the highest level. I do so because today, more than ever, I recognize the massive problems the youth face, and know that it will take a collective effort to resolve these problems. However too many people are being let down by the greedy elite at the top of the ruling parties youth wing whose prime priority is securing their tenures in power through dirty tricks and manipulating democratic practice as we are seeing today. This is the heart of a closed crony society for a few. Youth simply deserve better. They deserve an organization whose primary function is to serve them and contribute to a brighter future.
I therefore encourage all discouraged members of the ANCYL who believe in an Open Opportunity Society for All to join the DA Youth in our positive mission to improve the conditions and opportunities of all young people. We are building an alternative youth organization which is positive in its outlook, and based on creating a better tomorrow. We want to extend opportunities to youth, and allow them to be the best they can be.
It is time people discard the negative politics of the ANCYL, and pulls their weight behind an organization which contributes towards a better tomorrow. There is no time for infighting for positions and flawed congresses, but time for solutions. We are building the only solution orientated youth organization in South Africa because we believe we can improve the status quo.
We can, we must, & we will create an Open Opportunity for all. We will realign politics in South Africa and help the DA create a political vehicle credible enough to bring about fundamental change when we take over national government. We must be the drivers of this vehicle, and it starts now.
