Zille can't escape her undertaking to resign - Lynne Brown

WCape ANC MPL says Madonsela's four findings of administration an indictment of Premier

Ms Lynne Brown (ANC Leader of the Opposition)

Member statement in the Western Cape Legislature- 7 June 2012

Wrong, wrong, wrong and wrong!

That is how Public Protector Thuli Madonsela scored the Western Cape provincial government's multi million Rand communication contract with elements of undue political influence and serious systemic breaches.

The four findings of maladministration underscore the trademark of the DA in government as officially that of maladministration. Maladministration is also what the Public Protector found in the DA's flagship municipality Midvaal.

The most significant finding in the Western Cape is that of improper DA cadre deployment right into the tender process, vindicating the ANC stance that the DA's tentacles are extended where it should not be.

Madonsela's noted it created suspicions and perceptions of political interference or influence; as it was ill-advised and should have been avoided.

This means the premier's will was present in the procurement process - Through her advisers!

The fruitless and wasteful expenditure proves the DA breaks principles and procedure at will and has no regard for taxpayer money regardless of the amount.

The national DA leader cannot escape her undertaking to resign if anything was found wrong in this tender. She now has to fall into her own sword as it was indeed found to be wrong!

Note: The marks are wrong, wrong, wrong and wrong!
