Cyril Ramaphosa's pre-Marikana conduct disgusting - EFF

Fighters says tycoon also compromised lives of mineworkers as GS of NUM

CYRIL RAMAPHOSA'S INVOLVEMENT IN THE EVENTS BEFORE MARIKANA ARE DISGUSTING, SICKENING AND REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ACTION.

24 October 2012

It has come to our attention, and now has been revealed in the Marikana Commission that Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, the greediest beneficiaries of Black Ecomomic Empowerment who spend his leisure time buying and bidding for multi-million rands wild animals, is involved in activities and communications that led to the Marikana massacre.

When we went to Marikana on the days after the massacre, particularly the 17th and 17th of August 2012, we told workers that one of the beneficiaries of the sweat and blood of Lonmin Minesworkers is the gluttonous Cyril Ramaphosa, who has altogether lost a sense of moral compass and only concerned about self-enrichment. We told workers in front of everyone that the massacre was a result of political agitation by greedy individuals.

Cyril Ramaphosa has sacrificed and compromised the lives of many mineworkers, even when he was General Secretary of NUM. He led a failed mass strike in 1987 and allowed the apartheid forces to crack down the striking workers, killing some and conceded to defeat, telling workers to go back to work before their demands are met.

Ramaphosa thought that the usage of excessive force will damage and destroy the fighting spirit of mineworkers in Marikana and workers stood firm even after the massacre which Ramaphosa agitated with other senior authorities who will soon be exposed. We know of serpents that have killed mineworkers in Marikana and all of them will be exposed and should be held accountable.

The South African police and the Hawks should now investigate and ultimately arrest Cyril Ramaphosa for his involvement in inciting violence and agitating for the killing of mineworkers who were protesting for a better wage and living.

We make this call because when some right-wing forces reported the Commander in Chief for Economic Freedom Fighters about inciting of violence in Marikana, the Hawks were quick to say that they are investigating President Julius Malema for inciting violence and even sent thousands of policemen and soldiers to Rustenburg to prevent him from speaking to workers. Now we have real evidence of a greedy, gluttonous, insensitive, sick, arrogant and money-obsessed sell-out who has agitated for the the massacre of 34 workers, and Hawks must quickly act on him.

It now makes sense why Ramaphosa's company, Shanduka promised millions of rands to bury workers who were massacred in Marikana. Ramaphosa thought that quickly burryig those workers will hide the evidence that he was involved in the decision to massacre mineworkers and was taking an attitude that 'I can kill you, and bury you'. This is what we are dealing with, and we will form part of any processes locally and internationally to make sure that those who killed innocent mineworkers are held accountable. We will never surrender! Never retreat! ASIJIKI!
