Do the 200 Gupta guests have the correct visas to enter South Africa?

The Freedom Front Plus urgently wants to know from the minister of Home Affairs whether the 200 guests of the Guptas, during their arrival at the Waterkloof Air Force Base had the correct visas to enter the country.

According to Dr. Mulder, the FF Plus' spokesperson on Home Affairs, people from India who enter South Africa and stay for a period of 30 days or less or even 90 days or less, must, in terms of the law, have the necessary visas which have to be issued at the South African High Commission in India.

The FF Plus would also like to know from the minister whether the passports and other travel documents of the guests were properly processed at the Waterkloof Air Force Base upon their arrival. If the approximate 200 guests of the Guptas did have the necessary visas, the department of Home Affairs should have known about their arrival.

"We would like to know from the minister whether officials from the department of Home Affairs had been sent to the Waterkloof Air Force Base especially for the arrival of the Gupta guests."

"The public of South Africa is entitled to know immediately whether these people are at present legally or illegally in South Africa. The FF Plus will today submit questions in Parliament to the minister of Home Affairs to obtain answers about this," Dr. Mulder says.
