SAHRC's ruling affirms the DA is racist - ANC

Party says that where the DA governs the black majority are denigrated and subjected to inhumane conditions

ANC condemns DA racism and provision of Porta Potties to black majority

17 July 2014

The African National Congress has noted reports the South African Human Rights Commission has declared the vision of porta potties in the City of Cape Town a violation of human rights. The HRC has found DA led City of Cape Town guilty of discrimation on the basis of race and has violated the Constitution of the Republic.

This ruling affirms what we have known all along, that the DA is racist and that where the DA governs the rights of the black majority are denigrated and they have to suffer inhumane conditions imposed on them by their government.

The DA has consistently sought to claim that the Western Cape province is a well-run province. The finding of the Human Rights Commission confirms that it is only those in the leafy surburbs of Constantia and Camps Bay that feel this well-run province, never the majority in the Cape Flats or Khayelitsha.
