Israeli troops must withdraw unconditionally from Gaza - EFF

Fighters also demand the dismantling of the wall of oppression, expulsion of ambassador Lenk

EFF calls for the unconditional withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza

28 July 2014

The EFF has been at the forefront in calling for an immediate ceasefire and for the withdrawal of all ground, air and sea invasions in Gaza.

The EFF does not see the current situation in Gaza being resolved with a humanitarian ceasefire as this is a cowardice call. The EFF calls for an unconditional withdrawal of all Israeli troops and an end to the continuous bloodshed in Gaza.

As the EFF our call is unequivocal and we condemn calls made by political parties who have no true commitment to the people of Palestine but only business interest. Governments involved in business must be held accountable for their complicity with Israeli war crimes.

The EFF rejects companies that continue to operate in South Africa and simultaneously participate in war crimes in Gaza.

We do so without fear because loss of innocent lives must end and that business interest cannot be prioritized over self determination.

The EFF upon its march to the Israeli embassy in Pretoria further called for the immediate end of Israel's occupation and colonization of Palestine and dismantling of the wall of oppression.

The EFF further demanded that if the South African government is honest about its relations with Israel it will expel the Ambassador Lenk with immediate effect and unconditionally recall the South African Ambasaador from Tel Aviv.
