The working class and poor still have faith in us - ANC

Party notes vitriolic attacks levelled against it by NUMSA, says it is committed to delivering on a national minimum wage

ANC STATEMENT ON NUMSA OUTBURSTS

28 OCTOBER 2014

The African National Congress has noted the vitriol attacks and outbursts levelled against the organisation by the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA). The ANC remains committed to implementing the Election Manifesto our people voted for in their overwhelming numbers in 2014 and previous General Elections. Since 1994, the working class and the poor have had and continue to have confidence, trust and faith in the leadership of the ANC.

The African National Congress will not be deterred from our political responsibility to build unity of the Tripartite Alliance and workers in particular. We are resolute in our determination to deliver on the commitments made to the masses of our people, including on the National Minimum Wage.

Statement issued by Zizi Kodwa, ANC national spokesperson, October 28 2014
