Botswana imposes further visa restrictions on EFF leadership - EFF

Fighters say that only threat posed by these revolutionaries is to the ideological status quo that benefits the dictator Ian Khama

The EFF condemns the targeted imposition of visa restrictions on EFF leadership by Botswana dictator Khama

21 November 2014

The Economic Freedom Fighters has learned of the imposition of VISA restrictions by the Bostwana dictator, Ian Khama on the leadership of the EFF. Khama has imposed VISA restrictions on Commissars Floyd Shivambu, Dali Mpofu, Magdeline Moonsamy, Andile Mngxitama and Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

This is in addition to the CIC Julius Malema who is also on the restriction list and has recently been refused entry into Botswana.

These are leaders of the third largest political party with parliament representation in South Africa put on a list as posing national security threat.

The only national security threat that these revolutionaries pose is to the ideological status quo that benefits the dictator Ian Khama. But the ideas of economic freedom represented by the CIC and commissars of the EFF are unstoppable and not subject to restrictions.

The VISA restriction imposition is also a sign that Botswana is a dictatorship hell-bent on isolating those critical of its policies. The EFF will make sure that Khama is challenged and met with protest should he visit South Africa. The EFF further condemns the silence and complicity of the South African government in this unfair treatment.
