Zelda La Grange's racist tweets shocking - YCL

League says racism so deeply engrained in white minority that they will need exorcists to extract the devils from within them

YCLSA shocked at Zelda Le Grange's racist tweets

The Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] is extremely disappointed that Zelda has failed to learn from the many years she spent assisting president Nelson Mandela.

Her recent remarks on Twitter have exposed her to the nation as unchanged.  Her views reflect those of racists and apartheid apologists, like Helen Zille, who choose to insult South Africa and our democracy while glorifying the undemocratic white minority presidents and colonial leaders. Indeed she has soiled her name and reputation, putting herself in the same league as Helen Zille and Steve Hofmeyer.

She has truly disappointed South Africa and reminded us that the effect of apartheid and white arrogance has engrained racism so deeply that they will need exorcists to extract the Devils from within them.

While we note her disrespect of South Africans, in particular black South Africans, we do recognize that there are hundreds and thousands of civilized white people, including some investors, who have defied her attitude and put their efforts towards building a united, diverse and democratic South Africa.

Her tweets express bitterness and hatred towards not only our democratically elected president and the majority of our people, but also all of South Africa. She has also disgraced the legacy through which she has become famous, that of her role in working for Tata Nelson Mandela.

If she has any interest in South Africa and our people she should publicly apologize to President Jacob Zuma and the whole of South Africa for her incredibly racist and anti-South African insults.
