24 candidates shortlisted for SABC board - Parliament

They will be interviewed before the eight vacancies are filled

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE SHORTLISTS 24 CANDIDATES TO FILL EIGHT VACANCIES AT SABC BOARD 

Parliament, Thursday, 28 February 2019 – The Portfolio Committee on Communications has shortlisted 24 candidates who will be interviewed to fill eight vacancies that exist in the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Board. 

They are Mr Gift Buthelezi, Adv Motshedi Benjamin Lekalakala, Mr Nkosana Mbokana, Mr Methews Mofokeng, Ms Mamodupi Mohlala-Molaudzi, Ms Bernedette Muthien, Ms Jasmina Patel, Adv Nakedi Ribane, Dr Marcia Scikwa, Mr Siphile Buthelezi, Prof Sathasivan Cooper,  Mr David Maimela, Mr Mpiyakhe Mkholo, Adv Lufuno Novondwe, Ms Mary Papaya, Chief Luvhuwani Matsila, Mr Sembie Danana, Mr Itani Tseisi, Mr Rowan Nicholls, Mr Mfanozelwe Shozi, Ms Nokuzola Ehrens, Ms Mmabatho Ramagoshi, Mr Wiliam Malema Ramoshaba, and Ms Lulama Mokhobo.

Their abridged CVs will be published on Parliament’s website tomorrow (1 March 2019) for public comments. The committee will conduct interviews next week from 5 - 7 March 2019.
