Malema's trial: EFF thanks fighters for support

Party calls on members not go to the court from tomorrow but focus on important political work

EFF thanks all fighters for the full support given to the CIC Julius Malema during the trial

3 August 2015

The EFF would like to extend its revolutionary gratitude to all fighters for the support they have shown to the CIC Julius Malema during his trial. Thousands of fighters from across the country came to endure the cold winter night to hold a vigil and also waited outside court until the proceedings were completed. This is a sign that the EFF lives and it should send a strong message to the political principals using the case to settle political scores that the EFF is not scared of them.

We would like to echo the request of the CIC Julius Malema that fighters must indeed not go to the court from tomorrow but focus on the important political work of the EFF. Members of Parliament and Provincial Legislatures must go back to work and ensure that the more than one million voters of EFF are properly represented. All ground forces must continue to prepare for the local government elections to ensure that we save our municipalities from the draconian and parasitical corruption of the ANC.

The EFF Central Command Team has delegated a few commissars to continue and hold brief on behalf of the organisation. Together with the CIC, we are confident of victory and that when the proceedings conclude Zuma and his puppets will withdraw with their tails between their legs back to Luthuli House to eat a humble pie.
