I will respond to allegations – Patricia de Lille

Mayor says her side of story will be available by end of week

Statement by the City's Executive Mayor, Patricia de Lille, on today's special Council sitting

21 November 2017

In response to the affidavit deposed by the Executive Director of the Directorate of the Mayor, Craig Kesson, made under the provisions of the Protected Disclosures Act, I was not afforded an opportunity to respond to all the allegations contained in this affidavit. Once my lawyers have concluded my response to the content of the report (affidavit) tabled at the Special Council meeting today 21 November 2017, I will make it available by the end of the week.

The City has also obtained a legal opinion on the affidavit made under the provisions of the Protected Disclosures Act and made this legal opinion available to all councillors at the Council meeting today.

The legal opinion and all other documents tabled at today’s Council meeting can be viewed here. The legal opinion is contained in the Minutes document as Annexure C.
