Malema a scoundrel who misleads South Africans – ANCYL NYTT

EFF leader’s attack on ANC ‘a sad expression of frustration’, says League

ANCYL NYTT statement on Julius Malema’s dishonest utterances

17 November 2021

The African National Congress Youth League National Youth Task Team (ANCYL NYTT) has noted with utmost disgust, but is not flummoxed by the behaviour of the scoundrel, Julius Malema in today's press briefing wherein he was misleading South Africans about the coalition talks with the African National Congress (ANC). Living up to the known behaviour of scoundrels, he chose to resort to lies and deceit by claiming the ANC only negotiated for positions and not service delivery. This was done in a feeble attempt to justify his failure to logically convince the ANC on the ridiculous demands the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) put forward as conditions to enter into a coalition agreement with the ANC.

South Africans must not be deceived by Malema's unwarranted attack on the ANC as it is a sad expression of frustration after his opportunism and uncontrollable appetite to put his dirty paws in the cookie jar was not satisfied through these negotiations. Malema wanted to use the 10.6% of votes the EFF received to change policies which have very little to with local government and the lived experiences of the poor black majority of South Africans.

He also wanted to use the lousy 23 seats his cult got in the City of Tshwane to govern a council with a total number of 214 councillors while the highest number of seats went to the ANC followed by the Democratic Alliance. This is a clear indication that the scoundrel's opportunism knows no limits and respects no laws.

We commend the leadership of the ANC for refusing to betray the people of South Africa who voted for us in the various hung municipalities in the country, especially in the City of Tshwane where the scoundrel wanted to act like a rat looking for cheese, ready to further line up his pockets.

We also commend the leadership for not wanting to govern at all costs and facing the reality that our people did not make us the governing party in these municipalities and doing their best in finding reasonable partners to co-govern with in the interest of stable local government and service delivery to South Africans.

The ANCYL NYTT assures South Africans, especially working class youth that we remain committed to the struggle of liberating blacks in general and Africans in particular from economic bondages. We were the first organization to call for free quality education in South Africa alongside our ally SASCO, to demand free sanitary towels for the poor alongside our ally the Young Communist League of South Africa, to call for land expropriation without compensation which resulted in the ANC adopting it in 2017 and to review the mandate and ownership of the South African Reserve Bank.

We urge South Africans not to be moved by the theatrics of the cult especially their lead actor, Julius Malema who enjoys hearing his own voice in press briefings and seeing the others actors nodding to his hogwash. The leadership of the ANC is doing its best to enter into coalitions with reasonable political parties which are not built on a cult around a scoundrel, but a commitment to social justice.
