Nomvula Mokhatla now acting SIU head - Presidency

Deputy NDPP takes over from Adv Nomgcobo Jiba who acted in position for week

President Zuma announces further arrangements at the NPA

President Jacob Zuma has appointed Advocate Nomvula Mokhatla, the Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions, to act as the Head of the Special Investigating Unit.

She takes over from Advocate Nomgcobo Jiba, the Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions who has been acting in this position since the announcement of the resignation of Advocate Willem Heath last week.

Prior to her appointment as Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions, Adv Mokhatla served in the litigation unit of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development. She practiced as an advocate at the Pretoria and Johannesburg Bars before joining the Department.
