Registering to vote is the first step in removing Zuma – Mmusi Maimane

DA says those who are angry about the state of our nation can change the future by voting

Registering to vote is the first step in removing Zuma and the ANC

8 April 2016

I call on all South Africans who have yet to register to vote in the upcoming Local Government Elections to make their way to the polling stations this weekend and ensure they are registered to vote for change on 03 August 2016.

This coming weekend is the last chance South Africans have to register to vote. It is crucial that anyone who is dissatisfied and angry about the state of our nation ensures that they are registered to vote on 03 August 2016.

The stakes have never been higher. The ANC has shown that it is corrupt to the core, and there is no saving the organisation. The ANC has treated South Africans as if we are fools. From the President - to the National Executive Committee (NEC) – to ANC MPs in Parliament, they have consistently put themselves first, and South Africa last. To end this, the people of South Africa must vote, and elect a new political party to get this country back on the right track and moving forward.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) will next week Friday hold mass marches against the ANC and its leadership who continue to support and defend the indefensible - President Jacob Zuma. The marches will take place in the City of Johannesburg and Nelson Mandela Bay.

Change doesn’t happen at Luthuli House, change happens at the ballot box. Many died fighting for the right to vote, and every eligible South African ought to exercise their right to vote.

On 03 August 2016, the people of South Africa will come out in their numbers and show the ANC that we are not fools, and will vote out this corrupt government. But it all starts this weekend.

Register for Change!
