NOTICE OF SUSPENSION

I write to inform you that the President has decided, in terms of section 177(3) of the Constitution, to suspend you from your duties pending the decision of the National Assembly as contemplated in section 177 of the Constitution. According to the President's letter, your suspension is subject to the condition that you finalise all your part-heard matters and reserved judgments.

I enclose the President's Minute and letter addressed to you pertaining your suspension.

In view of your suspension, the Deputy Judge President of the Western Cape Division of the High Court, Judge P L Goliath will, in accordance with section 6(6) of the Superior Courts Act, 2013 perform the functions of the Judge President as Acting Judge President of the Western Cape Division of the High Court for the duration of your suspension.
