Do you have an eye for design and detail? The IRR is seeking a creative and enthusiastic junior graphic designer to join its comms team.

Job description:

As a junior graphic designer, you will produce visually captivating content that resonates with our audiences across our various platforms.

The ideal candidate should not only possess a strong design sensibility and a keen eye for detail, but also have a genuine passion for communicating the ideas of classical liberalism.

We are looking for someone who can complete projects from brief to execution, designing on-brand marketing collateral and delivering high-quality and accurate final products.

The scope of work includes but is not limited to: creating digital media and infographics for social media; layout, typesetting, cover design for publications and newsletters; editing video clips; creating explainer videos and animations; visual storytelling and illustrations; ensuring brand consistency in line with our style guide; maintaining organised design files and assets for easy accessibility and future reference; reviewing designs for errors before they are printed or published.

Requirements:

A relevant qualification in graphic design or a related field, with or without experience.

Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy).

A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, illustrating creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of design principles.

Strong time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to do research, as well as have the ability to keep abreast of the IRR’s work and think of ways to visually illustrate it.

Ability to think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts, as well as contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
