2014 elections: Gauteng results

ANC wins province with 53,6% of vote, followed by the DA with 30,8% (with seat allocation)

The African National Congress has retained control of Gauteng in the 2014 provincial elections with 53,6% of the vote. This is down from the 63.99% of the vote it won in 2009. The Democratic Alliance secured 30,8% of the vote on the provincial ballot, up from 21,86% in 2009. The Economic Freedom Fighters came in third with 10,3% of the vote. The DA did better on the provincial ballot in the province than it did on the national one, the ANC slightly worse.
